Contract

Terms of use

As of 25 October 2026. The provider is Simon Gralki e.v., a sole trader (egyéni vállalkozó), Petőfi utca 2/a, 9741 Vassurány, Hungary, email kontakt@snoozecamp.com (“provider”, “we”). The service at snoozecamp.com and app.snoozecamp.com is called SnoozeCamp.

1. Scope

These terms apply to use of the website, the web app and the relay server. By registering, the user accepts them. The privacy notice explains the processing of personal data. It is not contract text, but it is acknowledged before registration.

Differing terms of the user do not become part of the contract. For consumers, the mandatory rules of the country where they usually live apply where those rules are more favourable.

2. The service

SnoozeCamp is a technical tool. It provides a relay and automation interface controlled by the user. In the web app the user sets an end for the stationary climatisation of their electric vehicle, currently in particular the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7, ID. Polo, ID. Tiguan and ID. Buzz Cargo, where climatisation can be started in the manufacturer app the user uses.

A second Android smartphone of the user (“worker phone”, at least Android 8) opens the manufacturer app through Android accessibility and taps Start or Stop there. The relay server, operated in a data centre of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, passes commands between the web app and the worker phone. Critical commands, in particular locking and unlocking, are additionally signed with a passkey. The worker phone checks that signature itself.

SnoozeCamp is not the manufacturer app, not access to the vehicle network and not a workshop service. The target temperature is chosen in SnoozeCamp. The worker phone sets it in the manufacturer app and starts or stops climatisation there. The screen lock and the S-PIN of the worker phone stay on the device and are not sent to the server.

There is no connection with Volkswagen AG or any other manufacturer. Brand names are used only descriptively. Details are in the legal notice.

3. Account

Sign-in is passwordless with a passkey (WebAuthn). The user gives an email address and confirms these terms on registration. The account is personal. Access data, passkeys and the worker phone must be protected from third parties.

The user can delete the account in the app. Deletion ends the contract. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected. At present there are no such duties for the account data, and the data are deleted with the account.

4. Duties of the user

The user uses SnoozeCamp at their own risk and remains responsible for the vehicle, the worker phone and the manufacturer account. In particular the user makes sure that

The user checks the terms of their manufacturer account, for example VW Connect. SnoozeCamp does not promise that the manufacturer allows automated operation of its app. The user bears the consequences of a breach of those manufacturer terms, including a block of the manufacturer account.

5. No particular effect on the vehicle

Whether climatisation actually starts depends on the vehicle, the manufacturer’s software, mobile reception, the worker phone and the manufacturer app. An update of the manufacturer app can make operation impossible. A dead spot, a switched-off phone, an empty 12-volt battery or a rejected manufacturer command can mean that the car is not climatised or not locked.

Uninterrupted, timely or successful execution is not owed. What is owed is providing the software and the relay under these terms, not a result at the vehicle.

6. Liability

The provider is liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. This also applies to legal representatives and agents.

For slight negligence the provider is liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, the fulfilment of which makes the contract possible and on which the user may regularly rely. That liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.

Within these limits, and as far as the law allows, liability is in particular excluded for

Liability under the Product Liability Act and any other mandatory liability remain unaffected. There is no liability beyond that. No guarantees are given.

7. Availability

The service is provided as it stands. Maintenance, faults, force majeure and changes at the host or the manufacturer can interrupt it. There is no claim to a particular availability. Features can be changed or discontinued. Material changes to the terms are announced in the app or by email. If the user does not object within six weeks and keeps using the service, the new terms apply, if this consequence was pointed out. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Term and termination

The contract runs for an indefinite period and is free for the user as long as no price is stated. Either side can end it at any time without notice. The user terminates by deleting the account in the app or by email to kontakt@snoozecamp.com. The provider can terminate if the user seriously breaches these terms, in particular by using the service abusively or unlawfully. At the end, the account data are deleted unless a duty to retain them stands in the way.

9. Withdrawal for consumers

Consumers have the following right of withdrawal. Businesses do not.

Instructions on withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The period starts on the day the contract is concluded, that is the completed registration.

To exercise it, you must inform us, Simon Gralki e.v., Petőfi utca 2/a, 9741 Vassurány, Hungary, email kontakt@snoozecamp.com, by a clear statement of your decision. Deleting the account is enough. To meet the deadline it is enough to send the notice before the period ends.

Effects of withdrawal

The service is free. No payments have to be refunded. We delete the account and the data stored for it as soon as the withdrawal reaches us. If you asked us to begin the service before the withdrawal period ends and the service was already provided before withdrawal, the statutory rule remains. No compensation for value is due, because there is no charge.

Model

To kontakt@snoozecamp.com: “I hereby withdraw from the contract for SnoozeCamp. Name, email of the account, date.”

10. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Towards consumers this choice of law applies only so far as it does not remove the protection of the mandatory rules of the state where the consumer usually lives.

If the user is a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the court responsible for the provider’s place of business in Hungary is the place of jurisdiction. Exclusive statutory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.

If individual provisions are invalid, the rest of the contract remains effective.
